This role will be responsible for delivering new Python-based solutions, supporting and enhancing existing automation processes, and driving the migration of suitable UiPath/RPA solutions to Python as part of the organization's strategic engineering roadmap.\nThe successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, work effectively within globally distributed teams, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable automation solutions. Experience with UiPath or other Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms will be an added advantage.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support Python applications and automation solutions.\nMigrate suitable UiPath/RPA processes into scalable Python-based implementations.\nTroubleshoot, investigate, and resolve production issues while ensuring application stability and performance.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders and product teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.\nFollow software engineering best practices, including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and code quality standards.\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nKEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS\nProven experience in Python development with experience delivering enterprise applications.\nExperience with REST API development, data processing, and automation solutions.\nGood understanding of software engineering best practices, including source control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.\nExperience supporting production applications and resolving critical issues in enterprise environments.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams.\nAdditional Skills\nExperience with UiPath or other Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms.\nExperience migrating automation workflows from RPA platforms to Python.\nKnowledge of enterprise automation frameworks and digital transformation initiatives.\nFamiliarity with cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nProven experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications using Python.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.\nWho we are\nGlencore is one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resource companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 60 commodities.
