This role will focus on opportunities in both North and South America and will involve collaboration with trading desks to identify and structure bankable transactions.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMarket Analysis:\nTrack market trends, pricing dynamics and regulatory developments for financing structures in the upstream, midstream, and downstream space.\nConduct market monitoring and networking with corporates, investors, and advisors (including legal counsel).\nTransaction Evaluation:\nEvaluate investment opportunities across the oil & gas value chain, with responsibility for cash flow modelling, scenario analysis, risk/return assessments, and due diligence support.\nDevelop and maintain financial models for structured transactions, including acquisitions, commodity-linked financings, asset-backed securitizations, and project finance structures. \nTransaction Structuring and Execution:\nSupport deal structuring and execution by preparing internal investment memos, presentations, and term sheets.\nCoordinate internal and external stakeholders, manage deal documentation, and facilitate negotiations.\nCollaborate with external legal advisers to assess risk profiles, legal structures, and enforcement mechanisms involved in transactions.\nWork alongside other team members to structure and syndicate transactions, ensuring they align with Glencore's marketing division strategy.\nTransaction Monitoring:\nCollaborate with legal, operations, and risk teams to support ongoing monitoring of structured deals.\nManage and update models, providing ongoing performance analysis.\nStakeholder Engagement:\nMaintain and expand relationships with banks, investors, and other key stakeholders to widen the pool of participants in financing transactions.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.\n2-5 years of experience in investment banking, structured finance, M&A, or asset management, with experience in energy and/or infrastructure a plus.\nStrong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen understanding of financial modeling and transaction structuring and a proven track record in building complex financial models.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.\nProficient in Excel, Powerpoint, and financial databases; VBA, Python or SQL is a plus.\nCompensation:\nThe expected base salary ranges from $120,000 -$140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
