[LTA-TRO] ASSISTANT MANAGER, COMMUNICATIONS & ENGAGEMENT, ROAD & PEDESTRIAN SAFETY
[What the role is]
You will be part of the Road & Pedestrian Safety Division, shaping how we communicate and engage the public and stakeholders on road and path safety. Working at the intersection of policy, communications and public engagement, you will turn complex safety issues into compelling narratives, build partnerships that extend our reach, and develop campaigns that encourage safer behaviour on our roads and paths.[What you will be working on]
Shape communications strategies for road and path safety policies and initiatives, from early engagement and announcement through to implementation.
Turn complexity into compelling narratives, translating road-safety data, policy and technical considerations into messages that resonate with different audiences.
Build and activate stakeholder networks, working with credible voices, industry partners, and community organisations to strengthen engagement and extend the reach of road-safety initiatives.
Develop integrated campaigns across media, social, digital and on-ground channels to reach and engage priority audiences.
Turn insight into action, using data, behavioural insights, public sentiment and feedback to identify communications opportunities, sharpen strategies and evaluate impact.
Manage agencies and partners supporting campaigns, content development and engagement activities.
Support high-impact communications, including talking points, media materials and coverage, presentations and briefing notes on road and path safety issues

We are looking for a strong communicator who can make complex issues clear, relevant and accessible, and who is comfortable navigating different perspectives and stakeholders.
Strong writing, communication and presentation skills, with an ability to distil complex policy and technical issues into clear and engaging narratives.
Strong stakeholder-management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse organisations and communities.
A good understanding of media, social and digital platforms, including how different audiences consume and respond to content.
Strong analytical instincts, with the ability to draw communications insights from data, research, behavioural trends and public sentiment.
Good judgement, initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Background in communications, public engagement, campaigns, public affairs or stakeholder engagement.
