This role offers opportunities to engage in international discussions, shape and operationalise tax policies and develop your expertise in international engagement. You will gain first-hand exposure to dynamic developments in global tax policy and their implementation in Singapore.

As an AEOI officer, you are responsible to:
- Manage AEOI matters relating to Singapore’s implementation of the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), the Common Reporting Standard (CRS), and the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF) end-to-end from policy to operations
- Formulate and implement Singapore’s AEOI policies in collaboration with other divisions in IRAS and relevant governmental agencies
- Promote compliance of Singapore financial institutions (FIs) with FATCA, CRS and CARF, by developing strategies, performing risk assessments, conducting audits and providing guidance to support FIs in meeting their obligations
- Represent Singapore at bilateral and multilateral meetings on exchange of information matters
- Review and transform work processes by applying data analytics, design thinking and digital solutions
- Contribute to divisional projects and initiatives

- Relevant academic or professional training, preferably in Accountancy, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Law or Data Analytics
- Knowledge of tax matters and relevant experience in AEOI compliance, IT (e.g. managing ICT systems), compliance and controls (e.g. audit and investigation), data analytics, design or digitalisation will be an advantage
- Willingness to travel overseas occasionally for official duties and to attend virtual international meetings outside of standard working hours (usually in the evenings)
