The role combines strategic planning, stakeholder management, community development, content oversight and hands-on social media execution.[What you will be working on]
- Develop, coordinate and maintain content strategies and calendars across RP's seven school social media accounts, ensuring purposeful, consistent and audience-relevant output.
- Review the positioning, performance and content mix of each school account, identify gaps and recommend improvements aligned with each school's unique strengths and priorities
- Plan and produce social media content, including photography, videography, editing, copywriting and platform-specific assets for school accounts.
- Monitor follower growth, reach, engagement and content performance across school accounts, and prepare regular insights and recommendations for OCC leadership and school stakeholders.
- Serve as OCC's primary liaison with school representatives and administrative teams on social media priorities, content requirements and upcoming events.
- Develop engagement touchpoints with recent alumni and identify opportunities for advocacy, content collaboration and longer-term community involvement.
- Develop the annual training roadmap for school representatives and student creators, aligned with RP's content priorities and evolving social media practices.
- Coach student creators, review work in progress, provide constructive feedback and troubleshoot production or engagement challenges.
- Support Open House and EAEvolution as an active committee member, including planning, procurement, administrative coordination, event-day operations and post-event reporting.
- Work closely with OCC's social media team to ensure school-level content complements RP's main institutional channels and wider communications priorities.
[What we are looking for]
- Possess a relevant qualification in Communications, Digital Marketing, Media, Marketing, Business or a related field.
- Relevant experience in social media strategy, content planning, community management or stakeholder engagement; experience in an education or youth-focused environment would be advantageous.
- Strong writing, editing and visual storytelling skills, with practical experience producing social media content across photography, videography and short-form video.
- Able to interpret social media performance data and translate insights into clear recommendations and content improvements.
- Strong facilitation, coaching and relationship-management skills, with the ability to engage staff, students and alumni.
- Organised, resourceful and comfortable managing multiple accounts, stakeholders, events and deadlines.
- Willing and able to support events and outreach activities outside regular office hours when required
