There are two vacancies for the Development Services Division and one vacancy for the Traffic Transportation Division . Successful candidates will be placed on an eligibility list that may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.\nDevelopment Services Division: Perform a variety of professional civil engineering duties in support of the City’s Development Services Division. Responsibilities include reviewing improvement plans, grading plans, subdivision maps, legal descriptions, WQMP’s, drainage and utility plans, engineering studies, permits, and other technical documents; preparing engineering conditions of approval and plan check comments; reviewing and issuing encroachment permits, street closure permits, harbor permits, and other Public Works permits; and coordinating with developers, consultants, utility companies, contractors, City staff, and the public. Assist with the planning, permitting, construction, and review of public and private infrastructure improvements while ensuring compliance with the City’s Municipal Code, Public Works Design Criteria, Standard Drawings, Standard Specifications, and other applicable City policies and engineering standards.\nTraffic and Transportation Division: This position will work in Traffic and Transportation Division and primarily scope and review traffic impact and parking study reports for development projects. Other work assignments will include providing platinum customer service to residents and guests regarding their neighborhood service requests, traffic signal management support, permitting, and other duties as assigned.\nSelection Components:\n Application Evaluation: Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis.
