Cleans Bathrooms (toilets, sinks, floors, countertops, walls, mirrors) and light fixtures; Replaces and changes supplies in the bathroom; Washes glass doors and windows; washes out trash bins and changes liners; collects recycling. Wipes down walls, blinds, woodwork and all door fixtures; cleans and thoroughly polishes drinking fountains. Maintains meeting rooms. Completes special cleaning projects as assigned. \nMonitors inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment in storage areas in each building and reports to Building Services Supervisor.\nPicks up trash and debris, including all types / forms of litter from the front and rear entrances of County buildings. \nReports building and equipment repairs to Building Services Supervisor.\nMeets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures.\nRemains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; may be required to attend seminars/training.\n Brief Description: Performs janitorial tasks of County buildings. \nHours: 6:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Monday - Friday (possible Saturdays) \nJob Prerequisites:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Ohio Driver’s License in compliance with employee policy.\nAdditional Qualifications (Agency/Dept. Qualifications):\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Floor stripping and waxing equipment experience preferred but not required.
