Job Description
IntroductionThe San Joaquin County Office of The County Counsel is recruiting to fill one current Deputy County Counsel vacancy and to establish an eligible list which may be used to fill future vacancies. The ideal candidates will have civil litigation and/or transactional experience, with experience advising public agencies desirable.
Annual Salary Information (**includes 10% Confidential Base Pay Supplement):
Deputy County Counsel II: $128,019-$155,607**
Deputy County Counsel III: $160,321-$194,872**
Deputy County Counsel IV: $185,561-$225,551**

The following incentives may be available for eligible new hires. Incentives are subject to approval by Human Resources:
New Hire Incentives:
- Vacation Accrual Rate: San Joaquin County vacation accrual rate consistent with the candidate's total years of public service.
- Sick Leave: Candidates leaving other employment may receive credit for actual non-reimbursable sick leave hours (up to 160 hours) from their last agency. Hours shall be subject to San Joaquin County's minimum sick leave cash out provisions.
- Moving Expenses: Documented costs to a maximum of $2,000.
