Utilizes knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to maximize learner success and instructional effectiveness. Conducts classroom and field-based instruction, provides technical assistance as needed, and uses a variety of instructional media to present course material. Develops and updates training aids, audio/visual materials, student materials, and lesson plans to support effective instruction and meet learner needs. Assists other instructors and programs as needed, supports the maintenance and inventory of course equipment, and interacts with clients and staff in a positive and professional manner.\nThis position will report to the Training Coordinator.\nQualifications of the Role\nHigh School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nFour years of experience in a hazmat-related field.\nOne year of experience in adult education and/or training. \nMust have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.\nMust have a valid passport or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.\nMust have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.\nEquivalency: Will consider two years of related experience (as listed above) with an Associate’s Degree in an applicable field from an accredited college or university, or a Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field from an accredited college or university with no prior related experience.
