Other related duties may be assigned.\nPromotes digital business initiatives and identifies potential impact on the City’s critical financial metrics and economic architectures.\nSupports business and technology innovation that drives the City’s objectives.\nEngages key business stakeholders and product managers to facilitate both strategy and innovation planning.\nCollaborates with stakeholders involved in digital strategy and digital innovation to develop an IT investment roadmap.\nCreates deliverables that illustrate how to strategically move the business forward.\nWorks with enterprise architects and key organizational stakeholders to define a strategic plan for leveraging integrated architecture as part of the enterprise architecture.\nParticipates in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development.\nProvides strategic consultation to product managers in defining or designing business capabilities, processes, functions and organizational structures, as well as in researching, identifying and internally marketing, selling and enabling technologies based on business and end-user requirements.\nParticipates in enterprise architecture development, including business architecture, information architecture, application portfolio and technical architecture, and champions the balance of flexibility and risk.\nFacilitates agreement on organizational work models and processes to meet business requirements.\nSeeks ways to apply new technology to, and reuse existing technology for, business processes.\nResearches and provides information on technical trends and competitors' practices relevant to assigned products and value streams.\nResponsibilities - Applications Division has an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Solutions Architect for the Work/Asset/Financial Management team. The ideal candidate’s work history shall reflect an ability to provide complex solutions and support an enterprise Maximo system. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated ability to maintain and enhance our existing enterprise application environments to improve usability, performance, reliability and scalability. \nThe position’s key responsibilities include modifying Maximo applications using Maximo’s Application Designer tool, creating complex Maximo workflows, developing and maintaining architectural diagrams, supporting Maximo interfaces between enterprise applications, utilizing Automation Scripting, managing upgrades/feature packs, configuring new modules, managing security groups and user licenses.\nWork Location:\nAustin Energy Headquarters, 4815 Mueller Blvd., Austin, Texas 78723\nDays and Hours:\nMonday through Friday. 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.\n40 Hour Work Week - Telework up to 95%\nAdditional work hours may be required to support the 24-hour Utility operations, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, inclement weather, and emergency closures.\nWork Schedule:\nThis has been designated as a Critical Employee position.
