Our specially trained doctors, nurses and aircrew use helicopters, turbo prop aircraft, aeromedical jets and patient transport vehicles to provide critical support to over 8,500 patients each year. We also deploy medical professionals and aircraft in support of defence, government and commercial contracts, and energy and resource sector sites.\nThe role:\nWe currently have an opportunity for an Operations Coordinator to join the organisation and coordinate aeromedical resources in a fast-paced mission critical team.\nReporting to the Operations Manager the key objective for this role will be to ensure a customer centric approach is applied with all client interactions, and all coordination responsibilities are performed in an efficient safe, professional and expedient manner.\nRole Responsibilities:\nReceiving patient medical referral information from customers on initial contact.\nActivating the most appropriate assets and crew resources for the mission. \nCoordinating ground transport components and any companion / relative travel.\nMonitoring timings and flight progress, including service delivery failures.\nMaintaining communication with stakeholders regarding incoming flights / patients / clinical status.\nCoordinating patient transfer from one mode of transport to another as appropriate.\nCollect and collate mission and other data for internal/external KPI reporting.\nProgressively entering case information into database.\nProducing various reports, including daily status reports.\nConducting handover to next shift in a thorough and careful manner.\nTo be successful in this role you will have the following:\nEssential\nPrevious experience in a logistics environment.\nAbility to prioritise workload in a multi-disciplinary environment.\nAbility to work autonomously and as part of a team under pressure.\nEffective interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.\nProven IT skills in a range of applications and data entry (including typing skills).\nAbility to multi-task, strategise and prioritise.\nDesirable\nPrior experience in a patient dispatch or retrieval role (air or road).\nPrior experience in aircraft operations / scheduling.\nHolds qualifications in emergency communications and / or logistics.\nKnowledge of aviation-based systems such as Air Maestro or similar.\nHow to apply\nIf you would like to be part of our team, you can apply using the link below.
