Join us, and you'll be part of a supportive, ambitious team which is centred around providing the best possible care and support to our clients and staff.\nAs Finance Manager, you will oversee and have responsibility for our accounting operation, providing financial reports and information, and maintaining the financial health of the company. This will include working closely with our local home care branches to process client invoicing, prepare staff payroll and manage supplier invoices. This role would suit a hands-on person, but will quickly evolve as we grow the team around you.\nThis role is based full-time in our Central Support office in Harrogate.\nBenefits\nJoin the leading care company - rated Outstanding by the CQC across our branches\nCompetitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)\nBenefits including 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, pension, and opportunities for career development\nResponsibilities\nMaintain effective financial process controls whilst driving process improvements\nManage and mentor other members of the finance team (as it grows)\nHands-on involvement in day-to-day financial operations, ensuring operational excellence\nAct as the key point of contact for any management accounting considerations\nProduce monthly management accounts with external accountants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness\nSupport budgeting and forecasting, including cash flow, planning, data collection and execution\nMonitor and evaluate financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions\nWork with external accountants, ensuring the company's financial practices adhere to statutory regulations and standards\nManage client invoicing and ensure timely processing of payments\nManage debtors, creditors and payments\nManage payroll, expenses, pensions and payments with external accountants\nEnsure balance sheet reconciliations and all external reporting requirements are complete, accurate and timely\nBuild and maintain effective relationships with operational teams and other functions\nWork closely with the Managing Director and communicate any relevant information to them\nRequirements\nA fully qualified accountant, ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)\nProven experience as a finance manager or similar role\nExperience within health and social care finance desirable\nStrong technical knowledge of tax, audit, and financial reporting\nAdvanced experience with accounting software (Xero) and MS Excel\nAccess health and social care software experience desirable\nAble to work under pressure to meet deadlines, use initiative and prioritise\nExcellent communication, planning and organisational skills\nUnderstand the importance of maintaining confidentiality\nPeople management and leadership experience\nWarm, patient and compassionate but also emotionally resilient and calm under pressure\nReliable, trustworthy and committed to the position\nEnthusiastic and positive 'can do' attitude with ability to motivate others\nCommitment to providing and maintaining high standards of care and support\nCommercially aware and a desire to succeed\nWilling and motivated to learn to develop self and others\nIf you’d like to find out more about becoming a Finance Manager in Harrogate, apply today.
