This role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable technology platforms that support business operations across on-premises and cloud environments. The engineer serves as a technical resource for infrastructure operations, hybrid connectivity, network services, and cloud-integrated technologies, helping maintain service availability, operational efficiency, and operational resiliency.\nThis role strengthens Carenet's operational performance by proactively monitoring enterprise systems, resolving complex network and infrastructure issues, supporting technology implementations, and partnering with architecture, security, cloud, and operations teams. Through strong technical expertise, problem-solving, and operational discipline, Network & Infrastructure Engineer helps reduce operational risk, improve service reliability, and support future business growth.\nHow will Success in this Role be Measured?\nInfrastructure Stability & Operational Excellence\nCore infrastructure services such as Active Directory, EntraID, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, virtualization, and hybrid connectivity remain stable, secure, and operational.\nNetwork Availability & Reliability - Enterprise network services consistently meet availability, performance, and connectivity objectives with minimal service disruptions.\nIncident Resolution & Problem Management - Network and infrastructure incidents are resolved efficiently with documented root-cause analysis and preventive actions where appropriate.\nSecurity & Compliance - Network and infrastructure platforms adhere to security standards, vulnerability remediation requirements, and compliance obligations.\nSuccessful Delivery of Projects & Changes - Infrastructure changes, upgrades, and deployments are completed successfully with minimal business disruption.\nDocumentation & Knowledge Sharing - Technical documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and operational procedures remain current and support team effectiveness.\nSample Activities to Deliver the Goals\nHybrid Cloud & Infrastructure Services\nSupport Azure networking, hybrid-cloud connectivity, VPN, and cloud-integrated infrastructure services.\nMaintain secure integration between cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.\nSupport Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VMware, and related infrastructure platforms.\nAssist with lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, and modernization initiatives.\nSupport backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resiliency activities.\nNetwork Operations & Support\nAdminister and support enterprise network infrastructure including Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet platforms.\nSupport routing, switching, wireless networking, VPN, firewall, and cloud-connectivity technologies.\nMonitor network performance, availability, and capacity while proactively identifying and resolving issues.\nTroubleshoot complex network, connectivity, security, and performance-related incidents.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and provide escalation-level support for critical network issues.\nImplement approved network changes following established change-management processes.\nSecurity & Compliance\nImplement and support firewall, segmentation, VPN, and access-control standards.\nSupport vulnerability remediation, security reviews, and compliance activities.\nCollaborate with security teams to investigate and resolve infrastructure and connectivity risks.\nDocumentation & Process\nMaintain network diagrams, inventories, SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation.\nContribute to standardization, automation, and operational-improvement initiatives.\nSupport knowledge transfer and cross-training efforts to improve team readiness.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.\n5+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure and network environments.\nExperience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and identity-integrated infrastructure environments.\nExperience supporting VMware or comparable virtualization platforms.\nExperience supporting enterprise networking environments including routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and firewall technologies.\nExperience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.\nExperience supporting backup, recovery, and infrastructure resiliency solutions.\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure, network, security, and connectivity issues.\nExperience with infrastructure and network monitoring, alerting, and operational support processes.\nStrong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting Azure networking and Azure infrastructure services.\nExperience supporting hybrid connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments.\nExperience supporting AWS infrastructure or cloud-integrated services.\nExperience with scripting and automation using PowerShell or Python.\nExperience with enterprise monitoring and network management platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, Meraki Dashboard, FortiManager, or similar tools).\nExperience supporting regulated environments and audit requirements.\nKnowledge of ITIL practices and change-management processes.\nRelevant networking, cloud, security, or IT service management certifications.\nRecommended Certification Section\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)\nVMware Certified Professional (VCP)\nCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)\nITIL Foundation\nFortinet NSE Certification\nOther infrastructure, cloud, networking, or security certifications\nWorking Conditions\nThe working conditions and physical demands described here are representative of those that are typical of the job and must be met by the Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
