The program offers:\nThe opportunity to work on projects that truly impact the company\nJourney-to-the-Job seminars with CareSource leaders to network and learn about their career paths\nAn assigned mentor and access to former interns who earned full-time positions with CareSource\nAn opportunity to test what you have learned and discover where you want to go\nThe satisfaction of working with smart and motivated people while building new skills\nThe chance to experience a new city and a culture that reflects your values (flexibility for on-site, hybrid, and remote opportunities)\nEssential Functions:\nResponsible for typical day to day actuarial tasks including but not limited to reserving, forecasting, benefit pricing, and rate analysis.\nSummer-long project related to actuarial work. Past projects have included trend and seasonality studies, model automation and process improvement, retrospective reserve review, and pharmacy modeling. Project culminates in presentation to senior leadership at the end of the summer.\nTargeted trainings for Excel, SQL, VBA, PowerPoint, and other technical skills.\nFocus on AI and streamlining process and workflows.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent is required\nCurrent Rising Junior or Senior in an accredited degree program or graduated within the last 6 months is required\nCompetencies, Knowledge and Skills:\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\nAbility to work independently and within a team environment\nEffective listening and critical thinking skills\nDependable, flexible and ability to maintain confidential information\nEffective problem-solving skills with attention to detail\nLicensure and Certification:\nNone\nWorking Conditions:\nGeneral office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time\nPersonalized orientation and mentoring programs\nCompany and job-specific training\nFeedback opportunities throughout your first 90 days\nInclusive culture with employee resource groups\nFlexible work environment with remote opportunities and paid volunteer hours\nPerformance and personal growth goals with defined success metrics\nOngoing feedback process with your manager to discuss your progress and identify actions for continued growth\nPotential for internal and external training and development programs, stretch assignments, expanded responsibilities and more\n$41,200.00 - $66,000.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
