If you're eager to develop your technical expertise, collaborate with a supportive team, and make meaningful contributions, we'd love to hear from you.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nBuild and maintain user-facing features using React and Next.js.\n\nDevelop backend services and APIs with Node.js.\n\nWork with relational databases using SQL.\n\nWork with document databases such as MongoDB.\n\nWrite clear, maintainable, and well-tested code.\n\nFix bugs and investigate issues with support from the wider team.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and learn how to give and receive constructive feedback.\n\nCollaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and other colleagues.\n\nUse AI-assisted development tools to explore solutions, understand unfamiliar code, generate initial drafts, and improve productivity.\n\nReview, test, and validate AI-generated code rather than accepting it without question.\n\nLearn our development, testing, deployment, security, and monitoring practices.\n\nContribute to technical documentation and share what you learn.\n\nThe above duties are meant to be representative of the position and not all-inclusive.\nMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:\nA basic understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript.\n\nSome experience with Node.js and React gained through study, personal projects, internships, a bootcamp, or previous work.\n\nFamiliarity with Next.js, or an interest in learning it.\n\nA basic understanding of databases and experience with SQL, MongoDB, or both.\n\nFamiliarity with Git and common software-development workflows.\n\nAn understanding of fundamental web concepts such as HTTP, APIs, browser behavior, and client-server applications.\n\nAn interest in using AI coding tools responsibly and effectively.\n\nThe ability to explain your approach, ask questions, and seek help when needed.\n\nA willingness to learn from feedback and steadily improve your skills.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nWrite clear prompts and provide useful technical context.\n\nUse AI to investigate problems, explain concepts, draft tests, and suggest implementations.\n\nCheck generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.\n\nVerify suggestions by reading documentation, running tests, and understanding the code before submitting it.\n\nRecognize when an AI-generated answer may be incomplete or incorrect.\n\nProtect confidential information and follow company policies when using AI tools.\n\nPersonal, academic, open-source, or bootcamp projects you can discuss.\n\nExperience with TypeScript.\n\nFamiliarity with automated testing.\n\nExperience building or consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.\n\nBasic knowledge of cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD, or deployment workflows.\n\nAn understanding of accessibility, web security, or responsive design.\n\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nThe expected base pay range for this position is $60,000-90,000 per year. The actual compensation for the position may vary based on market differences and on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and can vary based on location and/or work schedule. In addition to base pay, CareTria offers a comprehensive benefits package.
