This hands-on development role entails solving problems, writing high-quality code, and taking ownership of features from development through production.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain web applications using React and Next.js.\n\nBuild and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.\n\nDevelop reusable, maintainable components and services following modern development practices.\n\nDesign and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.\n\nWork with SQL and NoSQL databases to store, retrieve, and manage application data.\n\nUse AI-assisted development tools effectively for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, refactoring, and solution design.\n\nReview and validate AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, maintainability, and correctness.\n\nCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver new features.\n\nParticipate in technical discussions, code reviews, and development planning.\n\nTroubleshoot production issues and improve application reliability and performance.\n\nWrite automated tests and contribute to CI/CD processes.\n\nFollow secure software development practices and help maintain high standards for code quality.\n\nContribute to technical documentation and share knowledge across the engineering team.\n\nThe above duties are meant to be representative of the position and not all-inclusive.\nMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:\n3+ years of professional software development experience.\n\nStrong experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.\n\nProfessional experience developing backend applications and APIs using Node.js.\n\nExperience building modern web applications using React.\n\nExperience with Next.js or similar React-based frameworks.\n\nStrong understanding of REST APIs and modern web application architecture.\n\nExperience working with relational or NoSQL databases.\n\nExperience with Git and modern software development workflows.\n\nUnderstanding of automated testing and CI/CD practices.\n\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nStrong TypeScript experience.\n\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar platforms.\n\nExperience applying AI tools responsibly within a professional software development workflow.\n\nExperience with AWS, Azure, or another major cloud platform.\n\nExperience with Docker and containerized applications.\n\nExperience with GraphQL.\n\nExperience building event-driven or asynchronous applications.\n\nFamiliarity with building AI-enabled applications or integrating LLM services.\n\nExperience working in an Agile development environment.\n\nFamiliarity with application monitoring, observability, and performance optimization.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nWork is performed primarily in an indoor office or home-office environment using standard office equipment\n\nFrequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding, data entry, and operating office equipment/computer and participating in virtual or in-person meetings\n\nOccasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching to access files, or office equipment\n\nOccasional lifting and carrying of files, documents, or office materials up to 15 pounds\n\nOccasional travel, as needed\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nThe expected base pay range for this position is $120,000-140,000 per year. The actual compensation for the position may vary based on market differences and on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and can vary based on location and/or work schedule.
