As a comprehensive manufacturer of engineered composite products, Carfair Composites supplies quality fiberglass components to the original equipment manufacturers operating in agriculture, automotive, construction, transportation, commercial, food processing, and medical industries.\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Mold Maintenance Specialist will restore and maintain proper mold geometry for proper part specifications they will be responsible for the proper application of the mold release interface and will work under close supervision while developing confidence and foundational technical skills.\nWHY JOIN OUR TEAM:\n Training Provided - We’ll show you everything you need to know!\n Competitive Pay & Benefits - Competitive Wages and a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, GRRSP plan, life insurance, and disability programs.\nPaid holidays and vacation.\n Friendly Work Environment - Inclusive workplace culture that values and empowers team members.\nOn-the-job training in a continuous learning environment through a variety of in-house training initiatives.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\n Restore and maintain proper mold geometry per parts specifications.\n Able to work on body frame, wheels and hardware maintenance.\n Ability to read blueprints.\n Uses a pneumatic polisher while working with rubbing/polishing compounds.\n Able to work with chemicals (PPE provided)\n Communicates with production crew to identify mold issues and to schedule mold maintenance.\n Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate in a team environment to complete production objectives in a timely manner.\n Must have strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and be self-motived.\n Utilizes various hand tools and pneumatic tools to patch, sand, and spray.\nPrior experience with gel-coat finish or fiberglass reinforced plastics industry a plus but not required.\nWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school is an asset). \nExperienced working in manufacturing or production environment is an advantage.\nFiberglass experience is an additional asset.\nPrevious experience with fiberglass, preparer, lamination, sandable grey gel coat, injection, demolding or finishing is preferred.\n Automotive body works experience is an asset.\nFine carpentry experience is an asset\nOUR WHY:\nWe exist to move people.
