This is a hands-on production role where you may prepare molds and materials, build fiberglass components, sand, buff, trim, grind, drill, route, repair, and inspect parts to ensure they meet safety, quality, and first-time quality standards.\nWHY JOIN OUR TEAM:\nBe part of a team leading the world’s electrification of mass mobility\nCompetitive Wages and comprehensive benefit package with Immediate benefit eligibility\nPaid holidays and vacation\nRegistered pension plan with generous company match\nPassionate about creating a better product, a better workplace, and a better world\nInclusive workplace culture that values and empowers team members.\nOn-the-job training in a continuous learning environment (we invested $15.9 million in 2024) \nAdvancement opportunities within our family of companies\nWe are proudly named one of Manitoba’s Top 25 employers.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\nSupport the production of molded fiberglass and composite parts using processes such as hand lay-up, vacuum infusion, trimming, sanding, grinding, and finishing. \nUse hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools, including angle grinders, palm sanders, drills, routers, cutters, and polishers. \nPrepare molds, materials, and work areas for composite part production, including setup, cleaning, and basic mold maintenance. \n Remove, trim, sand, buff, repair, finish, and inspect molded composite parts for surface defects, air bubbles, rough edges, incorrect dimensions, and other quality concerns before they move to painting, assembly, shipment, or the next stage of production.\n Use work instructions, blueprints, jigs, guides, and measurement tools to complete composite parts to specification while supporting safety, quality, and first-time quality standards.\n Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe working condition while supporting Lean and 5S practices.\nWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\n1-2 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, repair, trades, or other hands-on work environment is preferred. Exposure to composite manufacturing, fiberglass, molded parts, sanding, grinding, trimming, finishing, or repair is considered a strong asset.\n Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, or pneumatic tools, such as sanders, grinders, drills, cutters, polishers, routers, or similar equipment. \nAble to follow work instructions, identify defects, and support safety and first-time quality standards in a fast-paced team environment while learning composite manufacturing processes, fiberglass techniques, molded part finishing, and basic mold maintenance.\nAble to meet respirator fit requirements, including being clean-shaven where required, and comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift, including standing for extended periods and handling materials generally between 20-50 lbs.\nReliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently once trained. \nOUR WHY: We exist to move people.
