Work including, but not limited to PLC programming, HMI programming, plant network architecture design/troubleshooting, control system design/upgrades and working with maintenance to troubleshoot existing systems and processes. Provide design assistance in the areas of automation, electrical and instrumentation for projects based on current best practices using approved components and standards. Provide expertise and/or support for internal and external resources during the execution of projects.(#LI-ES2)\nKey Accountabilities\nSupport activities such as design, testing, production, operation of equipment and systems.\nWork within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies to help conclude the appropriate approach for new assignments.\nDevelop and recommend procedures and methods and prepare technical reports and documentation.\nCollect, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.\nHandle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.\nManagement of troubleshooting tools and documentation.\nProvide work orders and part numbers for SAP\nTracking projects to completion\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technical OR Technical diploma \nCargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old\nMust be able to configure and program a variety of control systems including PLC and HMI and VFD systems. \nHave knowledge of programming languages. \nMust be able to update and troubleshoot a range of electrical or instrumentation systems. \nAbility to read and update electrical schematics. \nAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 60 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation. \nAbility to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) \nAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) \nAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) \nWorking knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word \nAbility to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice \nOther minimum qualifications may apply\nPreferred\n3+ years of AE&I experience\nKnowledge of reliability centeres maintenance, planning and scheduling\nAutomation, Electrical, and / or Instrumentation experience, within the Allen Bradley family of controls\nKnowledge of predictive technologies like MCE, vibration, infrared, ultrassound, machinery lubrication\nAble to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment\nWorking knowledge of inventory systems\nPrior experience in production related work\nInstrumentation Certification\nPosition Information\nRelocation assistance will not be provided for this position.\nVisa sponsorship will not be provided.\nThis position is located in Ontario - Guelph\nAt Cargill, we are committed to building a workplace where individuals from all backgrounds feel respected, valued, and able to contribute fully.
