Engineering Manager

Job Purpose and Impact

The Engineering Manager will lead and provide execution of our engineering capital allocations for our growing corn-milling facility in Hammond, IN. You will lead a team of Project Engineers and serve on the site leadership team and regional capital excellence leadership team providing strategic input into the identification and development of the operational vision, direction and people resources needed to deliver results.

Key Accountabilities

• Anticipates and plans for future engineering needs and develops the three to five year capital planning required for normal operations.
• Serve as a member of the site leadership team and provide strategic technical and engineering support for normal operations as well as project engineering oversight support for the most complex base and non-base capital projects.
• Provide execution oversight for current plan year projects.
• Direct the tactical development of the operational vision, direction and strategy.
• Ensure project meets requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.
• Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of six years of related work experience
• Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of supervisory experience
• PMP certification
• Experience managing $10MM+ capital portfolio
• Experience developing and executing projects $2MM+
• Experience leading multi-discipline contractors
• Experience with industrial food processing or dry material/bulk handling systems
• Process engineering experience
