You will diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues, support the development of team members, and partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.\nWhat You Will Do\nPerform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical, controls, automation, and related systems to support safe and reliable plant operations.\nLead complex electrical repairs, equipment upgrades, installation projects, and major maintenance activities.\nCoordinate and prioritize electrical maintenance work while providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support to electricians and maintenance team members.\nInstall, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair electrical equipment, motor controls, automation systems, and related components.\nReview electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nIdentify root causes of equipment failures, implement corrective actions, partner with operations, engineering, vendors, and leadership teams, and verify maintenance documentation using computerized maintenance systems. \nPerform job duties in a fast-paced, cold, or warm production setting with required PPE while engaging in physical tasks such as standing for long periods of time, climbing, bending, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nWork overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.\nFollow all safety, food safety, and regulatory policies.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat You Will Need\nMust be legally entitled to work in Canada.\nMust be 18 years or older.\nAdvanced troubleshooting skills with industrial electrical systems and equipment.\nAbility to diagnose and resolve complex electrical, controls, and automation issues independently.\nAbility to create, install, and troubleshoot wiring layouts and circuit routing and use testing, calibration, and diagnostic equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret advanced electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.\nExperience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), instrumentation, and industrial automation.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor or support less experienced maintenance team members.\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nElectrical certification, apprenticeship completion, or journeyman credential.\nExperience leading maintenance projects.\nExperience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or SAP.\nKnowledge of root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance.\nWork history in the last 12 months.\nBenefits\nHealth & Dental\nDisability\nLife Insurance\nRetirement\nDevelopment Opportunities\nAbout Cargill\nCargill is a family company committed to providing food and agricultural solutions to nourish the world in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way.
