Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.\nJob Purpose and Impact\nThe Process Engineer II will apply process and project engineering techniques to improve moderately complex manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement techniques and project management skills and be a contributing member of a team on moderately complex issues related to the operational domain area. You will provide guidance and oversight of external third parties that are utilized at the site and improve the stability, capability and availability of processes while reducing variability and mitigating risks in the operational area. You will enable the operational area to achieve variable and fixed cost and operating efficiency targets, while protecting our people, communities, the environment and assets and honor our business obligations.\nKey Accountabilities\nCollect and analyze moderately complex operational data and trends and develop recommendations and plans to improve the performance and reporting process of manufacturing equipment and processes and ensure consistent monitoring and early warning indicators.\nCollaborate with maintenance leadership to plan and schedule maintenance of plant systems using reliability models and predictive technologies.\nCollaborate with internal technology and finance operations stakeholders to monitor and manage variable and fixed costs at the site.\nPlan and monitor production shutdowns ensuring legal and preventive maintenance compliance of manufacturing equipment.\nPartner with process engineers to analyze capital expenditures and moderately complex project designs to find more efficient, cost effective approaches to promote higher quality and reliable outcomes.\nServe as point of contact and interface with third party personnel to set priorities, monitor safety and improve their skills over time.\nPartner with relevant personnel from other departments within the site or across the business to benchmark practices and assist in the creation of strategies.\nIndependently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. \nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in engineering\nMinimum of two years of related work experience\nOther minimum qualifications may apply\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nSix sigma green belt certification\nExperience with operations data and design programs and applications\nLean certification\nExperience and skills leading moderately complex projects\nStrong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications\n2 years of experience as process engineer\nPosition Information\nLocation: Breaux Bridge, Lousiana\nRelocation assistance is provided for this role\nWork Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am to 4pm\nEqual Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet\nAt Cargill, we care about your safety and want your job search experience to be a positive one.
