Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.\nJob Purpose and Impact\nFull-Time, Shifts | Food & Beverage Manufacturing\nLocation: York, YO31 8BA\nStart Date: Immediate\nAs a Process Operator, you will play an important role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.\nWorking closely with supervisors and colleagues, you will carry out a variety of production tasks while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and food hygiene.\nThis position operates on a 4-on, 4-off rotating shift pattern, consisting of:\n2 x 12-hour day shifts\n2 x 12-hour night shifts\n4 days off\nKey Accountabilities\nComplete pre-start checks and ensure equipment and processes are set up according to operational requirements.\nFollow safe working practices, procedures, and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).\nOperate flexibly across different production areas and equipment as required.\nSafely handle ingredients and materials\nWork towards individual and departmental performance targets by following instructions and operational standards.\nAlways ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment.\nMaintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene to meet food safety requirements and APT standards.\nFollow site HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) procedures and comply with all food safety, environmental, health, and safety regulations.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and contribute positively to team performance.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\nSelf-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong work ethic and a proactive, \"can-do\" approach.\nGood level of English communication skills, both written and verbal.\nBasic numeracy and mathematical skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBasic Food Hygiene Certificate.\nNVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing or equivalent qualification.\nKnowledge and understanding of HACCP principles.\nForklift license\nWhile experience within the food manufacturing industry is advantageous, it is not essential.
