Senior Data Analyst Performance

Job Purpose and Impact

In this role, you will play a central role in transforming complex growth and performance, research, and commercial data into actionable insights that support decision-making across the business. You will analyze large and diverse datasets to identify trends, understand variation in performance, uncover root causes, and provide recommendations that improve products, processes, and business outcomes.

As a trusted analytical partner, you will collaborate closely with Commercial, R&D, Production, and Field teams to understand business challenges, design robust analyses, and develop insights that create value for customers. You will apply statistical methods, modelling techniques, and modern analytics tools to support both strategic and operational decisions. In addition, you will contribute to strengthening data capabilities across the organization by promoting best practices in data analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business curiosity and the ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and actionable way.

The position is part of our Cargill/EWOS Aqua Nutrition business in Norway.

Key Accountabilities

• Identify untapped opportunities within existing growth and performance, research, and commercial datasets, and recommend new ways of leveraging data to create business value and improve decision-making.
• Help shape the organization's data strategy by establishing scalable analytical approaches, improving data utilization practices, and maximizing value creation across the business.
• Analyze complex production, research, commercial, and field trial datasets to identify trends, patterns, and performance drivers.
• Perform statistical analyses and modelling to generate insights and support evidence-based decision making.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across analyses and reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve data collection, reporting methodologies, and analytical processes.
• Contribute to building data literacy and analytics capabilities within the organization through collaboration, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate insights effectively.
• Support commercial initiatives by identifying opportunities, evaluating performance, and quantifying business impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Support trial design and evaluation through data preparation, analysis pipelines, and interpretation of results.
• Act as a trusted analytical partner, influencing decisions through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics,Engineering,Aquaculture, Biology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong experience in data analytics, statistical analysis, and datamodelling.
• Fluent English and Norwegian (daily work is in both languages).
• Proficiency in analytical tools.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and projects.
