This role is accountable for building a high-performing global team, strengthening technical and leadership capability, and establishing the standards, tools, metrics, and ways of working required to deliver ANH’s business objectives.\nThis role will advance formulation effectiveness across ANH by improving speed, consistency, quality, and value creation. It will establish and continuously evolve world-class formulation standards, analytics, performance metrics, digital tools, and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities, while incorporating an outside-in perspective to sustain ANH’s competitive advantage. Through globally connected and locally executed capabilities, the role will enable markets to formulate faster and more consistently, protect product performance and customer commitments, improve cost competitiveness, and support material margin growth.\nThe Senior Director will ensure the successful deployment, adoption, and value realization of Cargill Nutrition Cloud (CNC) and Cargill Labeling Cloud (CLC) in accordance with the approved roadmap. The role will partner with Digital Technology & Data, regional and in-market RMS teams, and other functional stakeholders to simplify processes, reduce manual work, improve decision quality, and capture efficiency and business value from enhanced platform capabilities. The role will represent RMS and the formulation function in key cross-functional initiatives, including Optimized Nutrition (ON) and Nutrition, Formulation and Quality (NFQ).\nThis role is also accountable for strengthening the global formulation talent system. It will define capability and proficiency standards, support career paths and succession planning, and establish a learning and development agenda that evolves with business and technology needs. Through coaching, talent development programs, and a strong global community of practice, the role will build the formulation capabilities required for ANH’s long-term success.\nKey Accountabilities\nProvide strategic leadership for ANH’s global formulation capability, establishing clear priorities, standards, governance, and ways of working that improve formulation speed, consistency, quality, and business value across markets.\nOwn and continuously improve global formulation principles, including constraint management, least-cost versus performance tradeoffs, ingredient inclusion and substitution practices, product performance requirements, and escalation processes.\nLead the adoption and value realization of Cargill Nutrition Cloud, Cargill Labeling Cloud, artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities, analytics, and other formulation tools in alignment with ANH RMS priorities.\nPartner with regional and in-market RMS leaders, Strategic Marketing and Technology, Digital Technology & Data, Operations, Quality, and other stakeholders to identify formulation priorities, remove execution barriers, and translate global capabilities into measurable local business outcomes.\nLead global formulation programs that support Optimized Nutrition (ON), Nutrition, Formulation and Quality (NFQ), constraint management, nutritional matrix updates, cost competitiveness, and material margin growth.\nEstablish and maintain global formulation metrics, dashboards, and governance routines to monitor performance, efficiency, and realized value.\nIntegrate external market, technology, competitor, and industry perspectives into the global formulation strategy to ensure ANH continuously strengthens its competitive position.\nLead a global formulation community of practice, including training, knowledge sharing, coaching, and mechanisms to rapidly scale best practices across markets.\nDefine global formulation capability and proficiency standards, succession planning, and lead a forward-looking learning and development agenda.\nRepresent Formulation on the Global RMS Leadership Team and in key cross-functional governance forums, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and follow-through on decisions and commitments.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in animal nutrition, agricultural science, engineering, business, or a related field\nMinimum of eight years of related work experience in animal nutrition, feed formulation or formulation systems experience in a complex business\nFive years of supervisory or leading experience with diverse global teams\nConfirmed experience in formulation policies, procedures and general understanding of animal nutrition industry practices and standards\nProven ability to establish global standards, governance, metrics, and operating processes while enabling effective local execution\nStrong understanding of formulation economics, including the ability to balance nutritional performance, product integrity, ingredient availability, manufacturability, cost competitiveness, and margin\nExperience leading complex, cross-functional programs involving technical teams, business leaders, digital technology, operations, quality, and other stakeholders\nAble and willing to travel up to 10% globally\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in animal nutrition, agricultural science, engineering, business, or a related field\nExperience leading large-scale technology deployments, driving user adoption, and managing organizational change\nExternal industry exposure to formulation tools and practices, including Cargill Nutrition Cloud, Bestmix, Brill, or comparable formulation platforms\nExperience applying advanced analytics, automation, optimization, or artificial intelligence to technical decision-making\nFluency in more than one language and experience working across multiple cultures and regions\nOur Offer\nWe provide a fast paced stimulating international environment, which will stretch your abilities and channel your talents.
