This role plays a critical part in our bid and RFP process, ensuring pricing reflects real market conditions, internal cost structures, and the operational realities of port.\nThis individual contributor role requires extensive hands-on experience in drayage logistics pricing and a deep understanding of the operational factors that impact rates, including terminal constraints, equipment availability, appointment-based workflows, and short-haul network dynamics.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPricing & Market Analysis\nDevelop pricing for drayage using market data, lane performance, and historical trends\n\nIncorporate port operations, terminal constraints, chassis availability, dwell time, and appointment requirements into pricing assumptions\n\nUtilize internal cost models and industry tools to price short-haul and port-centric lanes accurately\n\nEvaluate margin impact and ensure pricing aligns with profitability and network strategy\n\nMonitor market dynamics, congestion patterns, capacity shifts, and competitor pricing\n\nBid & RFP Support\nPrepare and review pricing for bids, RFQs, and RFPs with a focus on drayage and containerized freight\n\nEnsure pricing submissions meet customer requirements, service expectations, and deadlines\n\nPartner with Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate, executable proposals\n\nAnalyze win/loss results and provide recommendations to improve competitiveness and bid strategy\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with Sales, Operations, Capacity, and Finance to validate pricing assumptions\n\nHelp determine which freight opportunities align best with our drayage network and operational capabilities\n\nSupport internal teams with pricing insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations\n\nDocumentation & Process Improvement\nMaintain pricing documentation, templates, and bid records\n\nSupport continuous improvement of pricing tools, processes, and cost models as the business scales\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nRequired Qualifications:\n3-5 years of direct experience pricing drayage or containerized freight transportation\nMust have extensive hands-on experience in pricing, bid management, or analytics within transportation or logistics, with direct experience pricing drayage\n\nStrong analytical skills and comfort working with data and pricing models\n\nProficiency in Excel (modeling, analysis, scenario evaluation)\n\nExcellent organization, communication, and time-management skills\n\nAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\n\nFamiliarity with port operations, terminals, chassis providers, and appointment-based workflows\n\nExposure to RFP/RFQ processes\n\nSalesforce or CRM experience\n\nExperience with freight market tools and rate benchmarking\n\nBenefits & Perks\nCargomatic offers a competitive benefits package designed to support your health, financial security, and overall well-being.\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage with multiple plan options, including HSA-eligible plans\n\nCompany-paid life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverage\n\nFlexible spending accounts and dependent care savings options\n\nEmployee Assistance Program with confidential counseling, legal, and financial resources\n\nWellness programs and benefit advocacy support\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nCargomatic is an equal opportunity employer.
