management activities for Cargomatic’s Dallas operations.\n\nServe as the primary owner of driver-focused safety and compliance programs.\n\nEnsure company drivers and owner-operators operate in compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and applicable state regulations.\n\nMaintain audit-ready compliance documentation and support operational teams with safety-related guidance.\n\nRespond to safety incidents and compliance matters, including outside standard business hours as needed.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDriver Safety & Compliance Management\nDevelop, implement, and manage driver safety and compliance programs for company drivers and owner-operators.\n\nMonitor driver logs, hours-of-service compliance, roadside inspections, CSA scores, and in-cab camera events.\n\nEnforce corrective actions, coaching, and retraining for safety or compliance violations.\n\nAudit and maintain complete and accurate Driver Qualification Files (DQFs).\n\nReview driver qualifications and approve drivers for onboarding and orientation.\n\nEnsure ongoing compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and applicable state transportation regulations.\n\nIncident & Regulatory Management\nInvestigate accidents, incidents, and safety events involving drivers and equipment.\n\nPrepare detailed incident reports and implement corrective and preventative actions.\n\nServe as the Designated Employer Representative (DER) for drug and alcohol testing programs.\n\nAdminister pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing.\n\nManage FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse queries, reporting, follow-up actions, and MIS submissions.\n\nCoordinate workers’ compensation claims related to driver injuries.\n\nLiaise with insurance providers and case managers as needed.\n\nReporting & Audits\nMaintain accurate FMCSA portal data and roadside inspection records.\n\nFile and manage fleet registrations, permits, MCS-150 updates, and IFTA reporting.\n\nTrack DOT vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance documentation.\n\nPrepare documentation and support internal and external safety and compliance audits.\n\nTraining & Orientation\nLead new driver and owner-operator onboarding and orientation sessions.\n\nCommunicate safety expectations, compliance requirements, and company policies clearly.\n\nCoordinate distribution of onboarding materials including ELDs, dash cameras, permits, decals, and safety documentation.\n\nDevelop and administer recurring safety and compliance training programs for drivers.\n\nOperational Safety Support\nPartner with operations and dispatch teams to address driver compliance issues.\n\nProvide guidance on corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies.\n\nRespond to safety-related incidents and urgent compliance matters outside normal business hours when required.\n\nCollaborate with insurance, legal, and leadership teams on claims management and risk mitigation initiatives.\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of safety and compliance experience in trucking, drayage, intermodal, or transportation and logistics.\n\nStrong working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.\n\nProven experience managing driver compliance, accident investigations, and safety audits.\n\nExperience administering drug and alcohol testing programs and FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance.\n\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to work directly with drivers.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.\n\nWillingness to
