You'll take ownership of complex services end-to-end, make sound architectural calls, write high-quality production code, and help raise the bar for engineering practices across the team. This role is based in our Hyderabad office on a hybrid schedule.\n\nThe core responsibilities for the job include the following:\n\nTechnical Ownership: \nDesign, build, and own backend services and APIs within the SprintPay platform.\nWrite clean, well-tested, production-grade code and review PRs with rigor and depth.\nContribute to architectural decisions, design reviews, and technical roadmap planning.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, and participate in on-call rotations.\n\nMentorship and Collaboration: \nMentor and guide engineers through pairing, code reviews, and design walkthroughs.\nPartner closely with product managers, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver features.\nHelp establish and uphold engineering best practices, coding standards, and documentation.\nSupport hiring efforts by interviewing candidates and helping define the technical bar.\n\nDelivery and Quality: \nChampion testing, observability, and CI/CD practices within the team.\nHelp set and track reliability goals (SLIs/SLOs); contribute to postmortems and follow-ups.\nLeverage AI tooling to accelerate delivery; code, testing, docs, and operations.\n\nRequirements: \n6+ years of professional software engineering experience (8+ years preferred for lead-level candidates), including experience leading features or technical initiatives.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction within a team.\nStrong communicator;
