The team plays a crucial role in enabling faster time-to-market while maintaining high quality. This position involves contributing to the continuous modernization of the platform, with a focus on self-service pipelines and ephemeral environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about Continuous Delivery and platform development, with a strong background in supporting complex software systems and an eagerness to drive efficiency in software delivery processes.\nWhat you'll do\nDevelop and enhance CarGurus' Pipeline-as-a-Service utilizing Go and Java.\nExpand the development environment infrastructure to provide ephemeral, hermetic environments.\nScale the production CI/CD infrastructure to accommodate future demands.\nManage and enforce governance strategies that promote environmental parity across services and artifacts and ensure high quality.\nWhat you'll bring\n5+ years of experience as a professional Software Engineer working with Golang, Java or similar languages\nProficiency with containerization and cloud environments.\nKnowledge in configuration management for distributed systems across multiple environments.\nOutstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with a demonstrated talent for translating technical concepts for both engineering and business audiences.\nConsistent record of being self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive in driving projects and business goals.\nA high-level understanding of Java, Python, or Bash/Unix scripting.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD operations, tooling, continuous deployment, and related technologies in a Kubernetes environment.\nAn aptitude for leveraging AI tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, or similar to enhance software development and operational efficiency.\nThe displayed range represents the expected annual base salary / On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position. On-Target Earnings (OTE) is inclusive of base salary and on-target commission earnings, which applies exclusively to sales roles.\nIndividual pay within this range is determined by work location and other factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.\nThis annual base salary forms part of a comprehensive Total Rewards Package.
