Apply today and be part of the ‘Bou Crew!\nPosition Overview:\nAs a Construction Manager at Caribou Coffee, you play a pivotal role in bringing our brand to life by overseeing and coordinating the planning, design, budgeting, construction, remodeling and delivery of Caribou stores within your assigned markets or regions. Success in this role means driving the seamless execution and delivery of the new store openings and major remodels - delivering projects on time, within budget and aligned with Caribou’s brand standards and objectives to ensure every store reflects the quality and brand our customers love.\nCore Responsibilities:\nNew Store Project Management\nOversee the General Contractor lifecycle process by performing initial search and selection, bidding and negotiating and overseeing the project execution.\nManage contract administration, including drafting and creating contracts in collaboration with the legal department for distribution.\nManage and control project schedules, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.\nSupport landlord relationships prior to and throughout the construction process.\nAssist in developing and implementing store development programs and procedures.\nBudget Management\nPrepare preliminary new store budgets upon request from Store Development Managers.\nCreate and finalize store investment budget before submission to senior management.\nMonitor and manage budgets to ensure project costs remain within the approved project limits, looking for more cost-effective opportunities as necessary.\nNew Store and Concept Design Management\nDrive innovation in the development and execution of the store concept, ensuring alignment with brand standards.\nResearch, evaluate and test new materials and design solutions to optimize functionality and decrease new store development costs.\nParticipate in cost engineering studies to identify opportunities for cost reduction in store buildouts.\nDue Diligence, Feasibility, Real Estate\nSupport Store Development Managers by conducting comprehensive site reviews and evaluating physical feasibility for potential new store openings.\nServe as primary point of responsibility for obtaining all necessary permits including signage, municipal, building health, etc.\nSupport Store Development Managers in landlord and tenant work letter requirements.\nRemodels, Franchise, Operations Support\nOversee the planning and execution of major store remodeling projects and other initiatives as assigned.\nContribute to the development and execution of store remodeling programs.\nConduct regular site visits to evaluate construction progress, address challenges and provide guidance to franchise partners within assigned markets or regions.\nAct as a resource to Store Operations and Facilities Management to assist in store repair and maintenance needs.\nSkills and Requirements:\nBrings our Core Values to life in all that you do: Support One Another, Make Fun Happen, Be Yourself, Take Ownership, Serve with Love\nHighly motivated, self-directed, and results driven.\nDemonstrates the ability to solve problems, think critically, and make timely decisions.\nResults driven, proven sense of urgency, and demonstrates strong initiative towards business needs.\nSkilled in working with cross-functional teams to create results, resolution of issues and alignment across the organization.\nDetail oriented with strong organizational skills.\nPossesses a curious and engaging communication style rooted in a desire to understand others and cocreate solutions.\nAbility to inspire creative solutions, problem solve and thrive in an ambiguous environment.\nAbility to gain trust and effectively listen to cross-function teams and all levels of leadership.\nAbility to travel as required.\nSuccessfully managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in business, architecture, engineering or construction management or equivalent experience.\n5+ years of project management experience working for a combination of general contractors, developers, and retailers.\nPreferred:\nExperience with quick-service restaurants (QSR) and/or drive-thru real estate\nExperience with retail real estate\nExperience with budget creation and ownership\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical requirements for this position include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during working hours.
