If you're passionate about meaningful work and want to be part of something bigger than yourself, Caris is where your impact begins.\nPosition Summary\nThe Accounts Payable Specialist provides guidance to the AP Coordinator by assisting in responses to external vendors and internal managers regarding accounts payable processes, identifies self-assessed sales tax invoices, verifies the accuracy of vendor invoices, processes 3-way matches with PO related invoices, codes non-PO invoices with correct general ledger segments, generates ACH and check payment runs, and assists with the 1099 process. Thisposition is located at the Irving, TX headquarters of Caris Life Sciences, directly reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, and will work closely with the Finance and Accounting teams to produce accurate and timely transactional processing related to purchasing and financial operations. The successful candidate will utilize strong business understanding, accounts payable expertise, and solid communication skills to become an effective team member at every level of the organization to understand business objectives and provide insightful accurate reporting in support of those objectives.\nJob Responsibilities\nAssist with AP team communication, both internally and externally\n\nIdentify self-assessed sales tax invoices\n\nVerify the accuracy of vendor invoices scanned into accounting system\n\nProcess monthly consolidated billings utilizing system templates\n\nProcess 3-way matches for PO related invoices\n\nProcess monthly rent invoices\n\nAssist with audit requests as needed\n\nPerforms, participates, and coordinates in special projects or initiatives in line with the accounting department.\n\nVoid and reissue payments\n\nResearch price discrepancies and communicate with procurement team to find solutions\n\nCode non-PO invoices with correct general ledger segments\n\nProcess ACH and check payment runs weekly\n\nContinues to improve department processes through thoughtful and ongoing communication with the AP, Finance, and accounting teams.\n\nAssists with the 1099 review process, and various accounting projects.\n\nEnsures policies, procedures, and documentation are current and accurate.\n\nStandardizes procedures for efficiency within a growing environment.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma\n\n1+ Years experience\n\nAttention to detail and thoroughness\n\nStrong organizational and time management skills\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to problem solve, multi-task, and follow up on requests/issues\n\nDeadline driven.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociated degree in accounting or related field\n\nOracle software experience is a plus\n\nPhysicalDemands\nMust possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.\n\nMust possess ability to perform repetitive motion.\n\nTraining\nAll job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.\n\nConditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, credit check( applicable for certain positions) and reference verification.\nThis job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions.
