Working at the intersection of clinical science, real-world data, and product strategy, this role is the clinical voice of the customer, translating how researchers and partners think and work into clear product definitions, well-characterized patient cohorts, and features that are genuinely useful in practice. It is an opportunity to set the scientific standard for a growing multi-modal data portfolio and to see your work directly influence decisions in precision oncology.\nJob Responsibilities\nDefine and own the vision, roadmap, and quality of clinically oriented data products, designing meaningful concepts and features from diverse sources such as genomic, clinical, and pathology data.\nDevelop patient eligibility logic, phenotyping algorithms, and inclusion and exclusion criteria that are practical and repeatable across data sources.\nServe as the clinical voice of the customer, partnering with commercial teams on product strategy and acting as a scientific expert in client conversations.\nLead the design and development of new product features, and manage data-privacy certification workflows, such as HIPAA expert determination, with third-party providers.\nPartner with data science and engineering to validate cohort definitions, implement clinical requirements, and ensure product accuracy and usability.\nEstablish clinical validation frameworks, quality metrics, and success measures that build product credibility and drive adoption.\nAuthor scientific and clinical materials, including white papers, vignettes, and presentations, that support evidence generation, customer education, and training.\nMaintain clinical data standards, documentation, and data dictionaries across product development.\n Required Qualifications\nAdvanced degree (PhD, MD, or MSc) in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, computational biology, or a related clinical or quantitative field.\n7+ years of experience in clinical research, real-world evidence, or healthcare data product development, including ownership of a data product or data asset.\nDeep, demonstrable understanding of clinical data elements found in claims, electronic medical records, pathology reports, and molecular diagnostics.\nProven experience with patient phenotyping and clinical cohort development, and a track record of translating customer needs into product requirements.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to present nuanced clinical and technical material clearly to scientific and commercial audiences.\nWorking proficiency with data tools (SQL and/or Python or R) sufficient to specify and validate cohort logic in partnership with data science teams.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use.\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong knowledge of oncology, molecular biomarkers, and precision medicine concepts.\nPrior experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare technology organizations, ideally supporting data partnerships.\nFamiliarity with real-world evidence and claims datasets, and with de-identification and expert-determination concepts.\nExperience with data governance, data dictionary maintenance, and work requiring clinical data integrity.\nPhysical Demands\nWill work at a computer most of the time, with some time spent collaborating with colleagues, partners, and business leaders, either in person or through remote conferencing.\nVisual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish fine detail.\nMust possess the ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.\nTraining\nAll job-specific, safety, and compliance training is assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.\n Other\nThis position requires periodic work-related travel (up to 20%) and some evenings, weekends and/or holidays.\nConditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, credit check( applicable for certain positions) and reference verification.\nThis job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions.
