If you're passionate about meaningful work and want to be part of something bigger than yourself, Caris is where your impact begins.\nPosition Summary\nThe Data Integration Specialist is responsible for applying IT best practices for the technical implementation and project methodology for Caris' comprehensive data exchange initiatives. This role will work with real world evidence data deployments.\nJob Responsibilities\nBridge the gap between business and technology by leading technical requirements gatherings and establishing approaches for each unique project. The applicant will need to be able to clearly communicate technical processes to non-technical business leaders and communicate non-technical business requirements to technical process owners.\nThe applicant will need to gather large amounts of data and organize it in way that the data can be ingested into Client systems.\nContribute to design and development of data exchange infrastructure. The applicant will need to understand business requirements and create a plan of how to accomplish those requirements using technology.\nAnalyze those business requirements and install, configure, test and place into production integrations with Clients documenting all steps along the way.\nAdheres to documented departmental and corporate standards.\nAssists as needed to perform other related duties and special projects as required.\nAccepts other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in related field required.\n2 years of experience in extract transform and load (ETL) programming.\n2 years of experience working with relational databases\nWorking experience with relational databases including Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.\nWorking experience in Healthcare integrations with emphasis on HL7, XML, and JSON feeds using Mirth or other Integration application.\nWorking experience with interface connectivity protocols, such as, VPNs, sFTP, API, HTTPS.\nWorking experience with AWS S3 to deploy data to external partners.\nTokenization of data for external partner collaboration.\nCandidates must have a strong background, advanced knowledge and working experience in IT technologies, security architecture and system life-cycle phases are recommended.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with Data Warehousing concepts and architectures\nFamiliarity with Transport protocols and applications.\nAbility to work independently solving application software problems.\nExperience with establishing external access and extract transform and load (ETL) strategies with multiple types of data sources, particularly a variety of electronic medical record systems.\nAbility to assemble and query complex data from databases, perform in depth analysis and decipher computational data. \nStrong leadership, teaming/interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. These personal skills include honesty and integrity, inspire others, commitment and passion, good communication, decision making capabilities, accountability, delegation and empowerment, creativity, and innovation.\nDrive for Results (Service, Quality, and Continuous Improvement) - Ensure procedures and processes are in place that lead to delivery of quality results and continually reassess their effectiveness to achieve continuous improvement.\nCommunication - Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
