If you're passionate about meaningful work and want to be part of something bigger than yourself, Caris is where your impact begins.\nPosition Summary\nThe Payroll Administrator is responsible for overseeing the entire payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments for a multi-state and international workforce. Additionally, the Payroll Administrator plays a pivotal role in streamlining operations, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement.\nJob Responsibilities\nManage the day-to-day payroll operations, including processing, and compliance\n\nProcess biweekly US payroll and monthly international payroll, then transfer that information to the general ledger while maintaining detailed records and reconciling payroll data to ensure accuracy.\n\nDevelop and implement long-term payroll strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.\n\nStay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant.\n\nIdentify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.\n\nAudit timesheets, taxation, garnishment deductions, benefit, and 401k deductions to guarantee accuracy and compliance.\n\nProcess garnishment paperwork and maintain garnishment records in payroll system.\n\nAddress employee queries related to payroll promptly and professionally.\n\nResearch, analyze, and resolve all issues and discrepancies, reporting to management as needed.\n\nRegister with tax agencies as needed, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.\n\nAssist with payroll and timekeeping training for new employees and managers.\n\nSupport HR Operations by answering employee queries, processing employment verifications, and maintaining accurate records.\n\nWork with 3rd party tax service vendor to ensure timely and accurate tax processing.\n\nPrepare and distribute biweekly and monthly payroll related reports.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n3-5 years of experience managing & processing payroll for a mid-sized organization or equivalent experience in accounting.\n\nStrong understanding of payroll accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.\n\nA strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.\n\nProficiency in payroll software and systems\n\nStrong detail orientation.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening skills.\n\nTechnically savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office programs.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in human resources, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.\n\nExperience in Workday Payroll strongly preferred.\n\nCertified Payroll Professional\n\n Physical Demands\nEmployee may be required to lift heavy supplies; may weigh up to 25 pounds (including office supplies).\n\nAbility to sit for extended periods of time.\n\nAbility to be in front of a computer screen the majority of the work day.\n\nMust possess ability to perform repetitive motion.\n\nMajority of work is performed in a desk/cubicle environment.\n\nTraining\nJob-specific, safety, and compliance training\n\nOther\nWillingness to work overtime when needed.\n\nJob may require after-hours response to emergency issues.\n\nWeekends/Evenings/Holidays- rarely\n\nConditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, credit check( applicable for certain positions) and reference verification.\nThis job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions.
