If you're passionate about meaningful work and want to be part of something bigger than yourself, Caris is where your impact begins.\nPosition Summary\nWe are seeking a highly capable Security Supervisor to oversee daily physical security operations within a fast-growing, publicly traded techbio environment of approximately 2,000 employees.\nThis role is responsible for supervising security officers and daily security activities, ensuring effective response to security incidents, and providing oversight of critical physical security functions-including access control, patrols, visitor management, and coordination with laboratory-related emergency procedures. The Security Supervisor plays a key leadership role in maintaining operational readiness, ensuring compliance, and coordinating response efforts to protect employees, facilities, intellectual property, and research environments.\nJob Responsibilitie s\nSupervise daily security operations, including patrols, access control, dispatch, incident response, mass communications, and escalation activities.\nLead, coach, and develop Security Officers to ensure consistent performance and adherence to procedures.\nEnsure 24/7 coverage and operational continuity, including scheduling and shift oversight.\nServe as the escalation point for complex or high-impact security events.\nProvide oversight of access control systems, CCTV platforms, intrusion detection systems, and alarm monitoring, coordinating with the SOC or vendors as needed for technical issues.\nOversee badge access provisioning controls and ensure alignment with HR and compliance requirements.\nCoordinate response to laboratory-related emergencies, including environmental alarms, critical equipment alerts, and life safety system activations.\nPartner with EHS, Facilities, and lab operations teams during critical incidents.\nEnsure proper escalation protocols for hazardous material incidents, power disruptions, and facility emergencies.\nParticipate in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and after-action reviews.\nOversee incident documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.\nReview and approve incident reports and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.\nIdentify trends and recommend risk mitigation strategies.\nMaintain evidence integrity and proper chain-of-custody procedures when required.\nSupport the Sr. Investigator in critical investigations, ensuring accuracy and follow-through.\nEnsure security operations align with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.\nAssist in developing and updating security SOPs, post orders, and response protocols.\nMonitor KPIs and service-level metrics to drive operational excellence.\nSupport internal and external audits related to physical security programs and controls.\nConduct site security patrols and inspections to identify vulnerabilities and ensure protocol compliance.\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of experience in corporate security or physical security operations, including 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.\nExperience responding to facility, laboratory, or operational emergencies.\nStrong working knowledge of access control systems, CCTV platforms, and alarm monitoring technologies.\nProficiency with incident reporting systems.\nProven operational leadership in high-stakes or fast-paced environments.\nSkilled in incident command, escalation management, and coordination with cross-functional teams.\nAbility to assess security events and make calm, decisive, and sound operational decisions under pressure.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nHigh level of attention to detail in documentation, monitoring, and response procedures.\nEffective cross-functional collaboration with security, facilities, EHS, and other operational partners.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use.\nAble to work Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in a publicly traded or highly regulated industry (biotech, life sciences, healthcare, or technology).\nProfessional security certifications.\nFamiliarity with environmental health & safety (EHS) coordination.\nExperience implementing or optimizing physical security technologies.\nPhysical Demands\nMust possess ability to stand, walk, and patrol facilities for extended periods, as well as sit and/or work at a computer for long periods of time.\nAbility to work extended hours during implementations and on-call rotations.\nTraining\nAll job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.\nOthe r\nAbility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.\nConditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, credit check( applicable for certain positions) and reference verification.\nThis job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions.
