Forklift Operators may also fill in for other jobs in plant as business needs dictate. Standard work week of 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nPerform pre-shift forklift inspections on forklift.\nRecord preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics, performing mathematical calculations as needed.\nSafely operate a sit down or stand-up forklift to move raw materials or finished products throughout the manufacturing floor, which includes, but is not limited to, keeping production line clear and running and keeping product and raw materials properly stored.\nVisually inspect material for quality defects; Segregate defective products and notify supervisor.\nFill dumpsters from production floor; Housekeeping of plant (inside and out).\nWork as a team with production and shipping team to follow all facility Standard Works/processes and improve operations.\nSupport the recycling area, when needed, and help to keep it organized.\nFill in on other areas of the plant as required with proper training\nAssists forklift operator II as needed.\nOther duties as assigned.\n Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:\nHighly motivated with a strong work ethic.\nPrior experience operating mobile equipment (Powered Industrial Trucks)\nMust demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.\nAbility to follow CWT’s policies, procedures, and processes.\nGood communication, organization, and time management skills.\nBasic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator.\nAbility to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).\nTeam player able to follow instructions from both management and peers.\nAbility to learn and operate new equipment.\nEducation and Experience:\nRequired:Must have sit-down and reach truck forklift experience\nMust be at least 18 years of age or older.\nHigh School Diploma or GED is preferred\nPrior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.\nSAP/Sapi experience is a plus\nMust be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment\n\n Working Conditions:\nFast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.\nHours worked vary based on shift schedule and business volume.\nFlexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.\nHeavy, stationary machinery on the manufacturing floor.\nRadio, Calculator, Measuring Devices\nHand tools\nComputer (Shop Floor and ERP)\nPhysical Requirements: \nIn accordance with ADA regulations, reasonable accommodation will be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used: \nEye, head, and hearing protection are required on the production floor.\nSafety toe shoes (steel/composite)\nHi-Vis Vests\nOther PPE as defined by management within assigned department.\nWe endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
