Ability to perform inspection on raw materials, finished products and work in process for batch making, mixing, and molding/expanding to ensure quality products are produced and shipped out to the customer. Standard work week 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nInspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.\nUse dimensional measuring devices to ensure products meet job order specifications, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.\nEnter all test results into company database and manage documents.\nCommunicate quality issues with engineering, shipping and scheduling daily.\nEnforce safety and sanitation regulations.\nParticipate in U.L. audits on a quarterly basis.\nAct as plant liaison to the Tech Center in regard to all QC functions.\nConduct root cause analysis regarding quality issues, identify and implement appropriate corrective actions.\nAssist external and internal quality audits.\nAssist Production teams with process changes, quality plan documentation, and test requirement updates.\nAssist customer service and sales teams to respond to customer questions in relation to product capability and limitations.\nHelp to drive continuous quality improvement and scrap reduction across the site.\nPerform quality assurance tests and visual inspections of raw materials, intermediary products, and finished goods per work instructions.\nRequired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:\nMath Skills proficiency up to Algebra and basic Trigonometry.\nMust demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.\nAbility to follow CWT’s policies, procedures, and processes.\nGood communication, organization, and time management skills.\nBasic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator.\nAbility to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, scales, rulers).\nTeam player able to follow instructions from both management and peers.\nAbility to learn and operate new equipment.\nEducation and Experience: \nRequired:Education - High School diploma or GED required.\nSix (6) months to one (1) year related experience required.\n\n Working Conditions:\nThis position conducts its work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to some odors.\nUse of the following equipment may be required in the course of the job duties:\nUniversal testing machine\nPower Tools\nDimensional measuring devices\nTape Measure\nMoisture Meter\nForklift/Clamp Truck\nRadio\nComputer and Phone\nPhysical Requirements: \nAccording to ADA regulations, reasonable accommodation will be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. \nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used: \nEye, head, and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor. \nSafety toe shoes (steel/composite)\nHi-Vis Vests\nOther PPE as defined by management within assigned department.\nWe endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
