This position can be based in Miami, Orlando, Tallahassee, Tampa or West Palm Beach.\n\nThe Conflicts Attorney reports to the Ethics Counsel and works closely with the New Business Intake and Legal Talent Management departments to identify and resolve conflicts of interest arising from incoming lateral attorneys and staff hires.\n\nResponsibilities and Duties: \nAnalyze conflict search reports for incoming lateral attorneys and staff hires\nWork with Ethics Counsel on lateral hiring process, including conflict review and clearance matters \nProvide support in such other areas as the Ethics Counsel deems appropriate\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nEducation: Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in the United States required\nThree years of legal experience within a law firm\nWillingness to devote most of the business day to review of conflicts of interest database search reports \nExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; must be able to articulate issues accurately, clearly and succinctly\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities needed to address complex questions and issues\nMust have strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented; issue-tracking, follow-up and resolution skills are essential\nMust maintain confidentiality and use discretion with sensitive information\nAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively\n\nActual salaries will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The salary range listed is just one component of the Carlton Fields total compensation package for employees.
