This role carries a particular focus on subscription revenue recognition, third party data and licensing costs, and the cost base behind our monitoring platform and analyst operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nManagement Accounts & Reporting\nPrepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet) to a tight close timetable.\nSupport preparation of board packs and investor reporting alongside FP&A.\nRevenue Recognition\nMaintain deferred revenue schedules for annual and multi-year subscription and monitoring contracts.\nEnsure revenue recognition complies with accounting standards.\nReconcile billed versus recognized revenue and manage unbilled revenue.\nCost Accounting\nTrack and allocate the cost of media data feeds across print, broadcast, social, and online.\nManage accruals and prepayments.\nAccount for infrastructure and platform costs.\nBalance Sheet & Controls\nOwn balance sheet reconciliations: accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, debtors, creditors, and intercompany.\nSupport multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation where the business operates across regions.\nAssist with statutory audit, year-end financial statements, and technical accounting papers.\nBusiness Partnering & Improvement\nProvide variance analysis (actual versus budget and forecast) with commentary, especially on\nlicensing costs, FX-driven data costs, and headcount costs.\nDrive automation and process improvement in close, reporting, and reconciliations.\nSupport finance systems work.\nRequirements\nRequirements\nQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).\nExperience: 3 to 5 years in management accounting, ideally within a subscription or SaaS, media,\ninformation services, or data business.\nWorking knowledge of subscription revenue recognition (IFRS 15 / ASC 606).\nStrong Excel skills, with experience across ERP systems (for example Microsoft Dynamics).\nComfortable working with multi-currency data given global content sourcing.\nHigh attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work to
