You'll design the learning frameworks, career pathways and leadership programs that help our operational teams build new skills, grow their careers and deliver exceptional results. From onboarding new starters to developing future leaders, you'll create the capability systems that keep our teams performing at their best while supporting Carma's continued growth.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nOwn and continuously improve Carma's Step Up Program, creating clear pathways for team members to progress into more senior operational roles\nBuild and maintain competency frameworks, skills matrices and career pathways across IRC operations\nDevelop clear capability standards and assessment criteria for operational roles\nDesign and maintain training content, learning resources and competency assessments\nCoordinate operational onboarding and capability programs, ensuring new starters have the skills and knowledge to succeed\nDesign and deliver the Lead Program to develop Carma's next generation of frontline leaders\nCoach and support Senior Leads to build capability through structured on-the-job learning and development\nMaintain the operational readiness register and succession pipeline across IRC functions\nPartner with operational leaders to identify capability gaps, workforce risks and development priorities\nLead cross-training initiatives that improve workforce flexibility and operational resilience\nTrack capability progression and ensure training and competency records are accurate and up to date\nMeasure the effectiveness of capability programs through data, feedback and operational performance\nProduce regular reporting on capability, succession readiness, onboarding, cross-skilling and internal progression\nAnalyse workforce data and turn insights into practical recommendations for workforce planning and operational decision-making\nIdentify opportunities to improve operational performance through better capability, training and development\nCoordinate external training providers and accredited learning where required\nWork closely with People Experience, Talent Acquisition and Operational Leadership to build a strong internal talent pipeline\nEnsure all capability programs and assessments align with Carma's policies, operational standards and compliance requirements\nAbout you:\nExperience in Learning & Development, Operational Capability, Organisational Development or Workforce Capability\nProven experience designing competency frameworks, structured learning pathways and capability programs\nExperience developing frontline teams within manufacturing, logistics, automotive, warehousing or similar operational environments\nStrong understanding of workforce capability, succession planning and internal talent development\nExperience coaching leaders and influencing stakeholders across different levels of an organisation\nA genuine interest in helping people develop and creating meaningful career pathways\nStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities at once\nComfortable using data to identify capability gaps, measure outcomes and influence decisions\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both operational and corporate teams\nHighly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment\nA continuous improvement mindset-you naturally look for ways to make things simpler, better and more scalable\nComfortable working with Microsoft Office and learning, workforce management or HR systems\nExperience working in a high-growth or operationally complex environment will be highly regarded\nQualifications in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Organisational Development or a related discipline are highly regarded\nWhat's in it for you?\nJoin one of Australia's fastest-growing automotive businesses and help shape how our operational teams learn, develop and grow\n Build programs that create real career pathways and future leaders across the business \n Work alongside passionate operational and People teams in a collaborative, high-growth environment where your ideas genuinely make an impact \n Our open-plan office comes fuelled with fresh coffee, a snack stash for any craving, and Friday rooftop drinks to keep your energy in the fast lane! \n Sweet perks because, well, we're a car business-enjoy discounts on Carma cars, parts, and NRMA cover to rev up your ride! \n\nAt Carma, we're all about fostering an amazing culture where you can bring your best self to work.
