Whether you’re advancing your career or growing your skillset, we are here to drive you forward.\nRole Responsibilities\nSafely load, secure, transport, and offload CarMax vehicles between stores, auctions, vendors, and logistics hubs.\nEnsure timely and accurate delivery of vehicles to maintain inventory flow and customer satisfaction.\nOperate equipment with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and cleanliness, maintaining a well-kept truck and trailer.\nConduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards.\nMaintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.\nRepresent CarMax professionally when interacting with vendors, store associates, and the public.\nFollow all company and federal safety regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risk.\nRequired Qualifications\nValid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state.\n2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (Military heavy/medium tactical vehicle experience considered).\nCurrent CarMax associates may apply if they meet:\nA valid Class A CDL.\n2+ years of CMV driving experience at CarMax (non-Class A CMV experience acceptable).\nNo preventable safety incidents in the past 2 years (validated by Safety & Compliance Team).\nClean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years; must meet CarMax’s Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.\nAbility to meet DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements.\nAbility to lift heavy objects and operate winches during loading.\nProficiency in operating a 10-speed transmission and willingness to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.\nAbout CarMax\nAt CarMax, we revolutionized the used car buying experience over 30 years ago by introducing transparency and integrity into the process.
