The LGM creates an exceptional associate and customer experience aligned with CarMax culture.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :\nManagement of total store operations including associate development, profitability, customer satisfaction with a concentration on the sales process and budget management\nUtilizes reports, analyzes information, and monitors trends to identify opportunities in the business \nDisplays financial responsibility through P&L management \nIdentifies opportunities to reduce waste; identifies process improvements that are value added for customer and associate experience\nInterviews, hires, trains and promotes associates to support store operations and company growth\nEnsures positive associate engagement and associate development through timely and effective feedback, to include individual meetings, file reviews, performance management, and the Annual Performance Review (APR) process \nLeads senior management team in setting strategy for the store and provides vision, direction, and motivation to team\nChampions and implements both company and store initiatives for consistent execution and continuous improvement \nManages daily store operations by interpreting, communicating and executing policies and procedures\nResolves customer and associate issues\nFacilitates and participates in meetings and conference calls\nQualifications:\nMulti-task in a high energy, fast-paced work environment\nSpeak, listen, and write effectively in dealings with customers and associates across departments\nRead, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records\nMake independent judgments regarding critical business decisions\nIdentify business opportunities and suggest improvements \nEducation and/or Experience:\n5+ years management experience, retail management experience preferred\nCompletion of CarMax provided training\nBachelor’s Degree a plus\nIntermediate PC skills\nWork Environment:\nCombination of both indoor and outdoor environment, including working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions\nRotating schedule with shifts that will include nights, weekends, holidays, 12 hour days \nOccasional travel for meetings, training, and special assignments\nFlexibility to work at multiple locations or relocate \nWear CarMax clothing (acquired through the company) at all times while working in the store\nAbout CarMax \nCarMax disrupted the auto industry by delivering the honest, transparent and high-integrity experience customers want and deserve.
