Whether you’re advancing your career or growing your skillset, we are here to drive you forward.\nRole Responsibilities\nLead total store operations, focusing on associate development, profitability, and customer satisfaction, with emphasis on sales processes and budget management.\nManage financial performance through effective P&L oversight and cost-control initiatives.\nDrive operational excellence by reducing waste and introducing process improvements that enhance customer and associate experiences.\nRecruit, train, and promote associates, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent to support store success and company growth.\nFoster engagement and development through regular feedback, performance reviews, and coaching conversations.\nProvide vision and motivation to senior management teams, setting clear strategies and goals for store success.\nResponsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) program for your department and/or location, including but not limited to self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.\nRequired Qualifications\nAbility to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.\nStrong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and associates across departments.\nProficiency in data interpretation and record management for accurate reporting and decision-making.\nDemonstrated ability to make independent, critical business decisions and identify improvement opportunities.\n5+ years of management experience, preferably in retail, with proven leadership capabilities.\nCompletion of CarMax-provided training and intermediate PC skills.\nFlexibility to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel for meetings or training.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree\nAbout CarMax\nAt CarMax, we revolutionized the used car buying experience over 30 years ago by introducing transparency and integrity into the process.
