We partner across the business to deliver accurate financial results, streamline processes, and continuously improve operations to support CarMax’s success.\nRole Responsibilities\nOversee order-to-cash activities, ensuring accounting accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of funding transactions.\nManage team performance, including onboarding, training, setting expectations, and conducting performance reviews.\nProvide ongoing education to ensure adherence to operational and accounting policies and procedures.\nCollaborate with business partners to identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.\nLead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis.\nAnalyze department metrics, such as productivity and KPIs, and recommend solutions to improve performance.\nServe as a subject matter expert on projects, challenging the status quo and driving innovative solutions.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent required.\n5+ years of business experience, with strong knowledge of GAAP principles.\n2+ years of leadership experience, managing direct or indirect reports.\nAbility to motivate and inspire teams, prioritize competing responsibilities, and make sound decisions.\nStrong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage and resolve issues effectively.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nInternal candidates: Successful completion of Entry MAP or MDP required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAccredited Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable Manager Certification preferred.\nProject management experience preferred.\nExperience and knowledge in Cloud-based ERP solutions, Workday, robotics, OCR technologies, and various automations desirable\nAbout CarMax\nAt CarMax, we revolutionized the used car buying experience over 30 years ago by introducing transparency and integrity into the process.
