The Senior Analyst, Talent enables this experience through effective Talent technology, accurate and accessible data, actionable insights, and continuous process improvements.\nWhat you will do - Essential responsibilities\nLeverages strong business knowledge and partnerships, analyzes quantitative and qualitative data, interprets insights, and provides recommendations to HR and business leaders within the organization to address current and future business needs.\nEvaluates Talent data, technology, and process issues, applying business and technical knowledge to identify root causes and develop effective, scalable solutions. \nAudits talent data (Learning, Assess My Team, Talent Review, Applicant pipeline health, Applicant conversion, etc), processes, and reports; partner with Talent Management and Talent Acquisition teams to identify gaps, improve data quality, and recommend process or reporting improvements.\nProvides Talent Management technology support and system administration, including Workday Learning, Talent Cycle, Development Programs, third-party integrations, and system configuration; manage break-fix issues and enhancements, identify root causes and solutions, support testing, and evaluate Workday release functionality and change impacts.\nServes as a point of contact and subject matter expert to internal WorkDay and Talent business partners. This includes supporting training on existing and new functionality, policies, and/or guidelines, and presenting value-added recommendations to business partners on any changes or issues that occur.\nServes as an internal consultant and subject matter expert for Talent data, metrics, and reporting, translating data into insights that support decision-making and recommending improvements to reporting, processes and Talent strategies.\nSupports Talent processes, projects, and metrics as needed. \nQualifications\n3+ years relevant experience in technical system support, metrics, reporting, and analytics required; Workday experience preferred\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Excel pivot tables and Excel macros required; Power BI and Power Apps preferred\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions\nDemonstrated ability to independently prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, and drive results with minimal oversight\nStrong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to understand stakeholder needs and partner across HR, Talent, and business teams\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex technical or data-driven information into clear, actionable insights\n1+ years project management experience preferred\nWork Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office and have a Hybrid work arrangement.\nWork Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.\nAbout CarMax\nCarMax disrupted the auto industry by delivering the honest, transparent and high-integrity experience customers want and deserve.
