Position will provide day-to-day Situational Leadership for the success of team members using the Carmeuse guiding principles & values.\nResponsibilities (main areas of responsibilities of the position)\nMust have kiln experience \nProven ability in team development \nManages regional operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established values, goals, objectives, and policies\nDrive a team culture that enhances the experience and empowers the support functions in order to achieve the region wide goals success\nAble to execute and contribute to a long range vision for the region by implementing agreed programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit with emphasis on long term principals, sustainability, and a creative work environment\nDevelop and create initiatives aligned with organizational goals\nProvides direction and structure for operating units through celebrating successes, rewarding positive behavior, motivation, and accountability\nDrive systematic approach in all facets of operations with a focus on continuous improvement in order to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization\nProvide mentoring, growth opportunities and guidance to subordinates and other employees with an emphasis on Succession Planning and personal career growth throughout all levels of the organization\nCollaborate across regions to spread Best Practices and experiences through a focus on Continuous Improvement and knowledge management\nBasic requirements (Education, Level of Experience, Language)\nRelated Bachelor Degree, MBA or Masters Degree is preferred\nMinimum 10 experience progressive experience in mining or heavy engineering industry\nMinimum of 10 years managerial experience with increasing responsibility\nMust demonstrate the ability to effectively lead a $50MM + business unit\nProven in leading operational excellence through application of behavior based management\nPrior experience demonstrating effective management skills, knowledge of continuous manufacturing sector\nDemonstrable team work and maturity with a strong work ethic\nFluency in spoken and written English\nAbility to travel\nNeeded Knowledge and Skills (Technical knowledge required by the position)\nKnowledge\nKnowledge of operational management \nKnowledge of people management skills\nStrong knowledge of Carmeuse policies, processes, and procedures\nExperience in mining and/or heavy engineering industry\nKnowledge of continuous manufacturing business sector\nTechnical creditability as it relates to industry, with a preference on mining and kilns\nSkills\nAbility to build relationships across the organization\nEstablish strong team environment within the region\nDemonstrates high level of business acumen by building appropriate aspects of the business plans, budgets, and achieves goals and objectives\nAbility to manage operational systems while providing oversight to various activities within the region\nAbility to maintain positive and responsive interpersonal relationships\nAbility to work collaboratively with other departments\nDemonstrates strong organization and facilitation skills;
