maintain and repair electrical systems; test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency; fabricate electrical parts; participatesin the maintenance and operation of electrical tools and equipment used by the operation\n\nTroubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems including electric motors, electric controls, scales, and other electric equipment (locomotives, plant radios, and electric tools)\n\nTest & monitor electrical systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem\n\nEnsures the proper function of electrical safety devices\n\nInstalls, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems\n\nMonitors work done for adherence to the NEC requirements\n\nAssists in the writing of specifications for repairs and new construction\n\nMaintains appropriate service and repair records, (records necessary for MSHA)\n\nAnalyze and responds safely and appropriately to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service\n\nFollows blue printsto determine the location of wiring and equipment and to conform to the building and safety codes\n\nAny other duties as assigned by management\n\nBasic requirements (Education, Level of Experience, Language)\nHigh School Graduate or GED equivalency\n\nMinimum 4 years’ and 8000 hours of on the jobelectrical maintenance training\n\nDemonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized electrical maintenance management systems; strongleadership andTotal Productive Maintenance experience; Six Sigma training is a plus\n\nBasic Computer Logic and Programming\n\nInspection and identification and knowledge of all electrical distribution systems (12 to 5K volts)\n\nPrior experience demonstrating effective leadership skills\n\nDemonstrable team workand maturity with a strong work ethic\n\nFluency in spoken and written English\n\nKnowledge\nKnowledge of electricity and how it works\n\nKnowledge of safety procedures and precautions to be observed in the maintenance and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment\n\nThe ability to advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous\n\nKnowledge of the mining process and equipment associated with such (conveyors, crushing and screening equipment, mobile equipment, etc.)\n\nKnowledge of materials, tools, equipment and systems used in the electrical trade\n\nKnowledge of State and Federal Codes and regulations pertaining to the electrical trade.\n\nKnowledge of the methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment\n\nKnowledge of providingestimates for: time, cost and materials for electrical projects\n\nSkills\nAbility to operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely\n\nAbility to install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatuses\n\nDemonstrated ability to assess organizational and people issues, provide coaching and mentoring, and deliver solutions that improve facility performance\n\nDemonstrated ability to take initiative, strong organization and prioritization skills\n\nDemonstrates the ability to apply appropriate conflict management strategies to ensure conflicts are resolved to the benefit of all parties\n\nExcellent math skills required\n\nEstablishes and maintains highly productive working relationships across the organization with all groups within the region and the company;
