provide training and trouble as required.\nParticipate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as required\nMaintain company organization charts and employee files\nRecommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed\nPartner with Health & Safety to maintain, processes and files disability and workers compensation documentation\nSupport Health & Safety Manager and Operations personnel with safety initiatives\nAssist with training initiatives\nOther duties as assigned\nBasic requirements (Education, Level of Experience, Language)\nQualified candidates will an Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration; Bachelor’s Degree preferred\n\n5+ years of related work experience\n\nKnowledge of human resources practices and administration in claim management\n\nExcellent analytical, cognitive and problem solving skills\n\nAbility to multitask while maintaining attention to details\n\nExcellent verbal and written skills; superior PC, Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)\n\nExperience with data entry, running queries and creating reports using HRIS/Database software\n\nAbility to work in a fast paced, team environment; demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information\n\nA willingness to try new approaches and learn new things\n\nUnion experience involving grievance handling, key assistance in contract negotiations\n\nPositive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions\n\nAbility to work independently and take initiative\n\nExcellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills\n\nAble to travel as required\n\nFluency in oral and written English\n\nNeeded Knowledge and Skills (Technical knowledge required by the position)\nKnowledge\nKnowledge of human capital management\n\nDemonstrated expertise in labor and employees relations, contract negotiation, and performs well working in a union environment\n\nDemonstrated ability to assess organizational and people issues, provide coaching and mentoring, and deliver solutions that improve facility performance\n\nStrong working knowledge of employment law\n\nStrong knowledge of benefits administration and compensation\n\nPossesses exceptional knowledge of employment laws that have an impact on the company and employees\n\nPossesses knowledge of organizational development and design concepts\n\nSkills\nEstablishes and maintains highly productive working relationships across the organization with all groups within the region and the company;
