It's a great opportunity to get experience working in our lab environment.\nMain Responsibilities:\nAbility to work on assigned projects with limited supervision while performing sampling, preparing and testing lime/limestone, raw materialsand associated products.\n\nBe willing to learn and use analytical instruments.\n\nEnsure housekeeping is maintained in the lab and sample preparations areas while following good lab practices, safety procedures and other duties as assigned by management.\n\nEnsure regulatory requirements are met with regards to chemical disposal, proper PPE when handling chemicals.\n\nAbility to perform and construct scientific experiments safely.\n\nRequirements:\nMust be enrolled full-time in college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in natural sciences (e.g. Chemistry, physics, etc.) or Engineering or related fields.\n\nMust have a valid driver’s license and have transportation to and from office.\n\nAbility to work safely and with minimal supervision.\n\nAbility to perform moderate to heavy physical work (up to 50 pounds).\n\nAbility to work outside in a hot, dusty, noisy environment.\n\nAbility to wear the required personal protective equipment such as a dust mask or respirator\n\nMust be able to read, write and understand both verbal and written instructions in English, as well as some computer knowledge.\n\nStrong math and organizational skills along with ability to meet deadlines; ability to read and interpret technical procedures.\n\nExcellent work ethic, interpersonal skills& communicationskills.\n\nManufacturing and equipment experience is an asset.\n\nSome travel may be required. This includes picking up lab samples, performing customer trialsand visiting operations.
