A Carnegie PL Specialist is a Carnegie Learning product ambassador, promotes implementation fidelity, and increases teacher effectiveness in each of the schools/districts they support.\nAs a member of the Professional Learning team, the PL Specialist works collaboratively with many of our teams, including the internal Professional Learning Team, Regional Directors of Professional Learning, Managers of School Partnerships, and Implementation Managers to support professional learning objectives. PL Specialists may also support additional teams including PL Design, Product, Sales and Tutoring Services on content, design and PL support.\nPL Specialists must successfully complete a suite of certification requirements, as prescribed by Carnegie Learning experts including shadowing and co-facilitating professional learning activities with our experts. This position is part-time and is recruiting throughout the calendar year; applicants will be contacted when the customer demand arises.\nWhat You’ll Be Responsible For\nPROFESSIONAL LEARNING FACILITATION\nDeliver engaging professional learning workshops; including, but not limited to, initial implementation workshops, virtual workshops, and state/regional/national conference presentations.\n\nDeliver intentional job-embedded professional learning; including, but not limited to, formal coaching cycles, demonstration lesson cycles, co-teaching, lesson planning, PLC facilitation, etc.\n\nDesign and deliver custom professional learning workshops according to the needs of individual PL partners as demand dictates.\n\nCONTENT SUPPORT\nDevelop correlations, custom curriculum, rubrics and/or other documents to support specific PL partner needs.\n\nSupport the sales team in pre- and post- sales environments including RFP/proposal design, pre-sales discussions, formal presentations, and supporting pilot opportunities.\n\nProvide Tutoring Services to CL customers as desired/available\n\nOTHER FUN WORK\nPL Specialists will have varied work opportunities based on skills and experience. PL Specialists have the opportunity to accept or decline opportunities based on their individual schedules and plans. \nWhat Should Be In Your Bookbag\nBachelor’s degree in Education\n\n3+ years teaching experience in relevant field\n\nCurrently residing within one of these states within the territory: Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming\n\nPrevious knowledge of Carnegie Learning resources is preferred\n\nFlexible schedule and availability during the summer and/or school year\n\nExperience mentoring, coaching, or managing teachers and/or delivering professional learning (preferred)\n\nUnderstanding of school and district infrastructure including technology environments and management\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment maintaining positive attitude in stressful situations\n\nSolution-minded and detail-oriented; always looking for ways to improve efficiency, communication and the customer experience\n\nAbility to follow through on assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision\n\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills\n\nWhat Gives Us Purpose\nOthers teach what; we teach why.
